Forge Family

PRIVACY POLICY

Your family’s information should stay your family’s.

This policy explains what Forge Family collects, why it is needed, who can access it, and the controls available to parents and account owners.

Effective July 29, 2026

Who this service is for

Forge Family is a parent- and guardian-managed family organization service. Adults create accounts and decide which children and other adults may use a household. Children do not create standalone accounts, and child profiles are not public.

Information we collect

  • Adult account information, including name, email address, a protected password, sign-in history, and personal-PIN security records.
  • Family and child profile information that an authorized adult chooses to add, such as names, birthdays, photos, school, grade, homes, and guidance settings.
  • Household activity, including responsibilities, points, rewards, approvals, schedules, calendar entries, Character Signals, Family Notes, memories, growth records, and validation feedback.
  • Support messages and limited technical records used to keep the service secure and reliable.

How we use information

We use family information only to provide, secure, maintain, and support Forge Family; save household choices; route each personal PIN to the correct profile; import calendars an adult connects; prevent abuse; and recover from service problems. Forge Family does not sell personal information, run targeted advertising, or use child information to build advertising profiles.

Children’s privacy and adult responsibility

An adult account holder must be authorized to create and manage every child profile they add. The adult controls child access, may review or correct the child’s information, may download the household data, and may delete the household. A child’s personal PIN is used for profile separation; it is not a separate child account.

When information is shared

Household information is available only to linked adults and child profiles according to their access. Adding another home does not invite another person. We use infrastructure and email service providers to operate Forge Family, currently including Cloudflare for hosting, databases, private file storage, and operational logs, and Resend for account and support email. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.

Storage, security, and retention

Forge Family uses encrypted transport, private file storage, household-scoped authorization, protected credentials, limited sign-in attempts, and operational monitoring. No system can promise absolute security. Active household information is kept while the account is active. Support records may be retained for up to 12 months to resolve and document requests. When an owner deletes a household, active database records and stored profile photos are removed; temporary provider recovery copies may remain for a limited backup window and are not used as active account data.

Your choices and rights

Authorized adults can correct most information directly in Family Setup. The owner can download a portable copy of household data and permanently delete the family and owner account from Privacy & Sharing. You may also contact Support to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or help with a privacy concern.

Policy changes

Material changes will be presented in the service and the effective date will be updated. Continued use after notice means the adult account holder accepts the revised policy.
